This is a great hotel, in San Diego “central”. Just a few minutes from downtown and right off the major expressways. I found it to be extremely clean, and with all the basic necessities. The staff was amazing, though Yventy and Sabrina definitely went above and beyond! Even the bar staff were great.

The only thing was the coffee machines in the room don’t always work. The coffee comes out lukewarm. And the hot water has coffee grounds in it. Other than that, great stay. And would definitely come back.

Overall a decent experience. Sleeping area was nice and updated. Bathroom shower area was cheaply done and not maintained. No breakfast included and $10 for oatmeal wasn't going to happen. All in all would go back due to price and centrally located, but there's much to be improved.

Stayed for work due to proximity of office. The hotel is extremely dated. I found a wad of hair on my shower curtain. My shower had issues with transitioning the water to the shower head, half kept coming out the tub spout. I had issues getting hot water to the sink. My colleagues had issues with AC and hot water to their showers. The hotel needs an update, badly.

Stayed over Christmas, told bar opened at 4, never opened, no food available unless breakfast, but was told at booking food would be available upon check-in, paid $50 for a bagel and burrito next morning after staving due to non existent amenities or staff, amenities are non existent. Wires hanging out of walls and mold in the only ice machine we could find that was out of service. Charged me a 250 smoking fee, absolutely no smoking in the room but can’t get a call back from the Manager, definitely left a message for the Corporate Office. Stay elsewhere!!!!! Yes, that is the ice machine, only one in place that didn’t work and was full of mold! Observed each time I exited to smoke off grounds! Run your cameras, I smoke cigarettes, my sons smoke weed, all outside at all times, is it because my son dumped his blunt in the garbage while rolling his blunt he smoked outside?! Or the bottle I kept on the balcony with my cigarette butts so I didn’t have to throw in the parking lot and didn’t want to stink up my room? Run my 250 back! Is it because my sons are black 6’10 and 6’6? Very respectful of where we lay! I will definitely not stop, not even about the money, have a receipt for 250 less than my booked room for absolutely nothing! I have worked in housing for 20+ years, might need to call the local inspector about my concerns. Steer clear!

Have stayed here multiple times over the last year. Last few stays resulted in me changing hotels going forward. While some floors/rooms have been upgraded, I had rooms where doors would not lock, showers head incorrectly attached and cleanliness in common areas questioned. Location is great for what's needed but not a consistent experience

I stayed at the Courtyard San Diego Central while attending the ASH conference for 3 nights. The hotel is located about 20-30 minutes from downtown San Diego, depending on traffic, and is close to Chinatown, though not within walking distance.

The room was clean and comfortable, meeting the expected standard for the brand. However, I was disappointed to find an $18 daily parking charge on my folio despite not having a car during my stay. This charge appeared to be an assumption made by the front desk, and I’m glad I reviewed my bill to have it corrected.

Unfortunately, my interactions with the front desk staff were indifferent, lacking warmth or attentiveness. As a Titanium Elite member, I did not feel valued or recognized, which was a letdown compared to my experiences at other Marriott properties.

Overall, while the accommodations were satisfactory, the service and guest recognition fell short of expectations.

Hotel was easy to get to. Location is great. Close to many attractions. Front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Quick and easy check in process. Room was clean. There was plenty of parking. Would stay again and recommend to others looking for a hotel in the area.

Basically just a fine hotel. Staff was great but so much was just a little wrong - I had to request a safe for my room, my coffee machine was broken, they had to turn off water for a few hours at one point, there was condensation in the minifridge, and the elevator felt extremely rickety. Overall totally fine, just in need of some updating.
